Club House, Sporting Clays and Shotgun Fields

The clubhouse/office/cash register will close about 30 minutes prior to close of shotgun fields.  Fields could close early due to weather conditions, please call ahead if there is adverse weather in the area.  See table below for detailed listing of open hours for all areas of the club.

 

 Clubhouse and shotgun venues closed all day Monday and Friday

May only use shot sizes of  7 1/2, 8, 8 1/2 or 9 shot for skeet, trap, five-stand and sporting clays.  Here is a chart that will help explain shot sizes: 

All clay target games are open to all members, escorted guests and to non-members. All shotgun fields are closed on Wednesdays from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm for maintenance. The clubhouse and shotgun fields are closed on New Year’s eve day, New Year’s Day, Easter, the 4th of July, Thanksgiving day and Christmas eve and Christmas day.  Some Fridays the shotgun fields will be in use for either registered shoots or corporate/fundraiser events.

All trap, skeet, 5 stand and pattern board shotgun fields are closed on Wednesdays from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm for maintenance.  Sunset is cease fire for all shotgun fields and the pattern board except Thursday Night Games and Club sponsored/hosted shoots.

Rifle and Pistol Ranges

Open everyday to members and their escorted guest from 7:00 am to official sunset. (Except during possible scheduled maintenance, severe weather or special events.) Below is a link for sunrise and sunset in Corpus Christi. We also post cease fire times in the Clubhouse.  Use of Rifle and Pistol ranges and bays is restricted to only current members and their escorted guest.  If you are interested in joining the club please visit our membership page/link for more information.

Range Rules
Management and staff, as noted within these rules, have the authority and ability to make decisions on questionable safety situations or behavior not specifically addressed therein and rule upon these in the best interest of the club.
Gun Club Bylaws
Rules that govern the use of the club by all instructors including but not limited to CHL instructors.
Rules governing the use of the bays by non CHL instructors
Agreement governing the use of shotgun fields by an instructor.
This agreement must be completed, signed and dropped off at the CCGC clubhouse prior to using a personal cart (golf cart, sporting clay’s buggy, gator etc) in order to be issued a permit which must be displayed. There is no cost associated with the permit.

Board meetings are typically scheduled for 4th Wednesday of the month.  However, adjustments to the date of meetings may occur to accommodate board members schedules and/or holidays.  We suggest you call clubhouse ahead of time to verify meeting date and time.  To speak at a board meeting you must be on the agenda ahead of time, please call ahead or email ccgc@gtek.biz.
